Submission Instructions:

To submit your entry, please follow these steps:
Compress all submission materials into a .zip folder.
Fill out the form and attach your WE TRANSFER link with your Film/reel
Please make the video file has a naming of “FASTFORWARD_2024_[category name]_[Name of your project]“
If your submission is selected for the event, you will be notified by May 23rd and receive a special invitation to attend on May 28th (at 6:00 PM at Westminster Kingsway College - King's Cross Centre) If your submission is not selected you can still attend as audience to talk and network with all the people attending. Check our website on how to register as audience.
Kindly be informed that only one entry per project will be accepted in the short film and game categories. If you wish to submit a group project as part of your showreel entry, please ensure that you have credited your team and clearly specified which segments of the showreel you were responsible for.
Please note that London ACM SIGGRAPH reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines or align with our values.
Rules and Guidelines:
Eligibility:
Open to UK-based college and university students or those with limited professional experience (less than 12 months of industry experience) in animation, VFX, or gaming industries. Only submissions created after September 1, 2023, will be considered.Categories:
Participants can enter in three categories:Student Short Film: Individual or group projects (under 15 minutes in duration).
Student Showreel: Individual showreels demonstrating personal skills and achievements (under 2 min duration).
Student Game: Individual or group projects with a demo video (under 5min duration).
Submission Requirements:
All submissions must be made through our Google forms. Each entry should include:A completed submission form.
A press kit (on a zip folder and linked through we transfer to your google form)
One image 4K Poster (3840 × 2160)
Three images 2K (2560x1440) High-resolution images of the work.
Your video Submission naming of “FASTFORWARD_2024_[category name]_[Name of your project]“
Optional: A making-of or breakdown document (under 2000 words) and/or a breakdown video (under 5 minutes).
Deadline:
The deadline for submission is May 20th, 2024.Selection Process:
A jury will evaluate submissions based on creativity, technical proficiency, and storytelling. Selected entries will be announced on May 23rd, 2024.Fast Forward Event: The top selections will have the opportunity to present their work at our Fast Forward Event. Industry professionals and recruiters will engage with participants, providing invaluable feedback and networking opportunities.
The event is to take place on Tuesday 28th of May at 6:00 PM at Westminster Kingsway College - King's Cross Centre
There will be a screening of selected talent, we will provide a guide with their contact information/reels to our industry professionals
There will be a small presentation/introduction before each screening (5min per presentation or 10min if it is a group/short film)
There will be breaks of 20/30min each block for networking
At the end of the event, the industry professionals in attendance will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite submissions. The selected works will be screened at our Rainbow Conference in September at the Barbican.
Awards and Recognition:
Winners will receive laurels, and invitations to present and attend the Fast Forward Event, and finalist selections will be screened at the Rainbow Conference in September.Disclaimer:
